As soon as I disconnected from the Thunderbolt socket, the machine reverted to its wi-fi connection and the procedure described in the Fuji Autosave software ran smoothly to completion. When I'm at my desk, I connect my Mac to the router via ethernet through the Thunderbolt display, and this hard-wired connection takes priority over the wi-fi connection. I have just solved the problem, and would also like to acknowledge the patient help received from Colin Chohan on Fuji UK's help desk (03).
FUJIFILM PC AUTOSAVE DESTINATION FOLDER HOW TO
Taking out the SD card has never seemed so simple compared to this fuss!Īny clues as to how to make this work would be appreciated (I haven't even tried the geocoding feature yet)! Frustratingly when I try again I have to re-enter all the manual info back into the camera. When restarted there is no progress with the camera stuck still trying to find the computer.
The PC AutoSave application is running on my mac (OSX 10.9.2) - but I noticed that when the camera initially made contact and displayed the computer ID the application closed from the top status bar. I can connect to my router (after a bit of a fuss using manual mode and having to select the security type) but the camera is stuck on the 'registering this destination' step. Never mind I'll cope.īut the real issue has been trying to set up the Wi-Fi. And I've just bought a 18mm prime so that the camera is a bit more compact. I have a few niggles with the lack of close macro focusing with the kit lens and the slightly crazy menu (I have a X100 and that it better as it remembers the last menu place - also I find the Q and Menu functions confusing). I have a lovely X-A1 (blue) with 16-50mm kit lens and mostly everything is fine.
